Subliminal French Learning - Speak French Fluently in Just 4 Easy Steps

Nothing speaks prestige and class louder than knowing how to speak French. There is something irresistible about the French language, just as the country of its origin, France, is in itself irresistible.

Aside from being able to communicate when you travel in the irresistible France, learning the language is also a good way of immersing yourself in a very interesting and engaging foreign culture. French is also often dubbed as the language of art, fashion, literature, food, and music.

Also, learning a new language in general can open up a world of new ideas and perspectives. French, however, is one of the most widely used languages in the world. It is used in 55 countries spanning 5 different continents. It is also the official working language of the NATO, UNESCO, and the UN, so it will really give you an added advantage.

Besides, French words sound luxurious, elegant, and just have a mysterious, charming, and irresistible feel to them.

The problem is, a lot of people who want to learn the language find it difficult to do so. Some of them don't have enough time, and some are just not patient or determined enough.

But here's how you can learn French the easiest way:

1. Find out as much as you can about the language. The French language and the culture wrapped around it is historical, monumental, and very interesting. One good way of seeking more motivation for French learning is researching on France itself - the culture, the language, and the people. This can pique your curiosity and admiration for this very charming country and make you more motivated to learn the language.

2. Make the effort. If you want to start speaking French fluently in no time, you really have to make the effort. Find time to do it. Buy a French dictionary or enroll in a French speaking class. If you're busy, then get a class that meets only once or twice a week. Find a way of learning that suits you; just make the effort to learn the words. Unless you know the words, you can't learn anything.

3. Be persistent. The problem why most people don't get to speak French fluently is that their efforts eventually run dry. They lose their patience and determination; even if they still want to learn, they just lose their motivation.

In learning the language, you need persistence and a truckload of patience. You can't tackle this language if you just stop.

4. Get extra help from subliminal French learning. If your conscious mind can't take the French learning pressure, maybe it's just because your subconscious is fighting it. If you want to make French learning easier, enlist the help of your subconscious? How?

The only way to communicate with the subconscious is by sending it subliminal messages. In subliminal French learning, subliminal messages will be sent directly to the subconscious to make it more open and welcoming to the new language.

Subliminal French learning can be done in many ways, but since the two most effective channels for getting to the subconscious are the senses of hearing and sight, subliminal learning programs are usually in the form of audio CDs or video DVDs. Just listening or watching can help your brain completely welcome French without resistance.

What Is the Difference Between a Public and Private University?

Choosing the right college or university can be a daunting task. How do you know which one is right for you? A lot will depend on your individual preferences and your circumstances. As you are researching different schools, you may be wondering, "What is the difference between a public and private university?"

The biggest difference between public and private universities is the cost. Public colleges and universities are funded by the state in which they reside. This makes them far less expensive than private schools that rely on private donors and alumni in order to operate.

Admission standards are different between public and private institutions as well. While both have admission requirements, public university standards are far less severe than private schools. There is often a large disproportion between the numbers of students accepted into a public school vice a private school.

Because admission standards are more relaxed at public universities, the student population is larger as well. This means larger class sizes and student to teacher ratios. Private schools often have a more personalized experience for student due to the smaller overall population and class sizes.

Making a decision between a public or private university will likely depend on costs, admission requirements, and your particular major. You will likely find a few schools that meet your needs, so you may need to further decide what characteristics are important to you in a school. With the number of different choices, you are likely to find the perfect school for you.

Learn to Speak Spanish Using Learning Spanish Audio

How Learning Spanish Audio Compares with Other Methods of Learning If you want to learn Spanish, there are many ways you can do so. They include:

1. Attending Spanish Classes
2. Hiring Spanish Tutors
3. Using Spanish CDs
4. Using Spanish Software

All those mentioned above are good ways to become fluent in Spanish. Now, let us try to figure out the pros and cons of each option.

1. Attending Spanish Classes
Pros: You find yourself among like-minded people who also want to improve their Spanish and, as a team, you can help each other. Also, you have a trained teacher who will conduct structured classes where your progress is checked regularly. Cons: Classes can be expensive. And, because there is a set time and venue for the classes, it may become difficult to attend them regularly if you have job or family commitments.

2. Hiring Spanish Tutors
Pros: Tutors provide one-on-one lessons that can be given in the comfort of your own home. Cons: Hiring tutors can prove to be very expensive as some may charge $100+/hour.

3. Using a Learn Spanish Audio CD
Pros: This option is highly flexible. You can buy Spanish improvement audio CDs from a store or download software from the internet and burn a CD. You can play the your Spanish CDs even from your car and practice while on the go. CDs use the "repeat after me" method of teaching so you get to hear the correct pronunciation of the words and how they may be used in conversation. Also, you can repeat any part of the lesson as often as you want, until you get it right. Cons: This method requires self-discipline. As there are neither written tests that are graded nor peer pressure to make sure you learn, you may tend to take it easy and only use the learn Spanish audio CD when you "feel like it."

4. Using Learn Spanish Audio Software
Pros: Spanish software courses are a very effective method of learning the Spanish language right in the comfort of your home. "Improving your Spanish" Software also uses many games that test your Spanish, thus making it "fun" to learn. Like some easy Spanish audio CDs, they can be either both from a store or downloaded via the internet. Cons: Quality Spanish audio software can be expensive. Also, there are many easy Spanish audio software that are of dubious quality.

Now that we are aware of the Pros and Cons of each method, we can effectively decide which among them, may suit us best. For some, hiring a tutor may be the best way for them to learn. However, if you are the type who want to improve on your Spanish whenever you have time to spare and even while on the go, improving Spanish audio (whether CD or software) will be the best way for you. Also, even if you opt for attending classes or hiring a tutor, using easy Spanish audio can be of help.

Tip For Speaking Spanish Emergency Words and Phrases

Today I will give you a tip for speaking Spanish emergency words and phrases. It's the kind of tip that may come in handy in an emergency situation. I have a story to tell you that clearly illustrates the tip that I want you to grasp.

I remember a conversation that I had in Spanish with a cab driver in New York City from the Dominican Republic when I first started learning Spanish. I'll never forget that day because the weather was awful. There was an "aguacero" (downpour of rain). And my clothes were drenched as I stood on a corner trying to flag down a cab.

Finally, an unoccupied cab pulled up. After I got in the cab and realized that the driver is a native Spanish speaker I began to practice my Spanish with him. He was very impressed.

I am not sure if he was impressed with my Spanish speaking skills or impressed with the fact that an American had taken the time to learn his language.

At some point in our conversation I wanted to say that it was raining like cats and dogs. I was able to remember how to say cats and dogs. But I couldn't remember how to say or conjugate the Spanish verb for "rain."

But like most people learning Spanish (or even people that aren't learning Spanish) I knew how to say the noun for water in Spanish: "agua"

For some reason, I was also able to remember the Spanish verb for "to go down" or "to come down" -- which is "bajar."

So I said to him "el aqua está bajando." A closer translation of that would have been "the water is coming down." His response to that was "Sí, está lloviendo" (Its raining).

Even though I could not remember the Spanish verb "llover" (to rain), I was still able to make myself understood and get my point across.

When the cab driver finally reached my destination, I wanted to say "at the traffic light." But for some reason the word for traffic light (semáforo) just seemed to escape me. No matter how hard I tried, I could not think of the word for traffic light (semáforo).

He must have passed 3 or 4 traffic lights as I sat there speechless trying to find the word for traffic light. And the rain was still pouring outside.

And he was a typical New York cab driver, driving like a maniac even in the rain. And at the rate I was going (and at the speed that he was going) I was going to be about 10 miles from my destination by the time I figured out the word for traffic light. And my clothes were already soaked.

Then he passed another traffic light or two, and I finally realized that if I cannot think of the correct Spanish word for traffic light, then I should just say the word or phrase for traffic light another way.

I knew the word for light (luz) and the word for traffic (tráfico).

That's when I shouted "la luz de tráfico." And the cab driver stopped at the traffic light.

Speaking Spanish in this manner may not score you any points with your Spanish speaking friends, customers, clients, co-workers, or employees, but it will help you get your point across and make yourself understood.

And that may be all that's required in an emergency situation. Maybe in an emergency with a Spanish-speaker in the U.S. or maybe in an emergency situation while traveling abroad as a tourist in Latin America or Spain.

I hope that you'll never find yourself in an emergency situation where you must speak Spanish and cannot think of the vocabulary word phrase that is correct, but if you do, then just say it another way.

Marketing Communications - Part Of Business Administration: Getting Your Name Out

Marketing is a vast and somewhat overwhelming aspect of the business world. You can literally count the number of its practitioners in the millions. As can be expected, when something becomes that huge and institutionalized, it can be broken down into a number of specialties, one of which is Marketing Communications.

Marketing Communications is an interdisciplinary occupation that focuses on making targeted markets aware of a product or any message. It's a highly creative aspect of the field that primarily concentrates on applying sales principles and theories with media applications. While its major employers are advertising and public relations firms, just about every business, agency or institution employs their share of these media experts.

Those interested in pursuing this field should have strong written and oral communications skills. They should also be good in math, media savvy (including the latest information tech applications) and, quite frankly, not afraid of being the center of attention. People skills are a definite plus.

When it comes to advanced education, a marketing communications major devotes his or her first two years on the basics of business; such as accounting, economics, business law and finance. They should also take their share of courses in statistics, psychology, English and some related liberal arts. Once they start their junior year, that's when they start to specialize in advanced classes such as basic market research, media theory and marketing management.

Another important thing a student should consider is some kind of internship or work-study program. This will give them some grounding in the practical application of what they are learning at their on campus or online college. Even if it's only working in the mail room, a student will start picking up pointers and special techniques that generally aren't taught in case studies.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, growth in this occupation is above average, at somewhere between 12-15% by the end of this decade. Competition for these positions, particularly entry level, is also considered exceedingly keen. It should also be noted that this is an exceedingly results-oriented occupation. The more successful a marketing communications experts track record, the better his or her odds to getting that corner office or penthouse suite.

Salaries can also rise dramatically with success. The average salary for these people ranges from $80,000 to over $120,000, depending on experience and industry. It should also be noted that one key way to advance is to continue education after getting a bachelors degree. They do this through setting up online subscription accounts or going full bore for a masters degree. Many also go on to start their own agencies and media outlets, such as those now forming their own Internet and social network media firms.

No matter what, it is undeniable that marketing communications is a high pressure field, but it's also a highly creative and constantly evolving occupation. Those who can find the right mix of media, creative way to package their pitches and get the desired results will find incredible job satisfaction.

Even if you're looking to get a degree in business administration, don't overlook how marketing can help you achieve goals. If you're running a business, you're selling a product or a service. Communications, in part, is getting your brand into public awareness. Working your way up, start with a free course online and find out what e-learning, also known as online education, can do for you.

German Language Words: The Fast Formula for Memorizing New Vocabulary

Learning the vocabulary of a foreign language can be difficult if you rely on old-school repetitive techniques. There are thousands upon thousands of new words to learn, and this is especially challenging when you have many similar-sounding words with vastly different meanings. So, is there an easier way to do it?

You would have heard of speed reading before. This is a technique for reading where you basically force your eyes to skim quickly across the page. The reason it works so well is because our brains actually work better at that speed! When you read at a slow pace, your brain gets bored, and thinks about other things in between. (Not to mention switching off completely and falling asleep!)

When you learn vocabulary in a slow repetitive manner, your brain also finds it boring, and again, falling asleep is a common side-effect! This is why language teachers have become such strong advocates for memory techniques that allow our brains to work at the high levels they are programmed for.

The best memory technique for learning vocabulary is where you link a new word with a visual image in your mind. Some language companies have actually produced software programs that provide this visual image for you. To do this yourself, however, is just as effective. All you need to do is take a new word and think of an image that it reminds you of. Usually, this is in relation to the sound of the word. For example, the German word for table is 'tisch'. This sounds a little bit like 'tissue', so you might try visualizing a tissue on top of a table. The mental image must give you a clear idea of the real meaning of the word, which is why we need to have the table in this particular mental image.

What works really well for this is humour. If you can visualize something funny, you are much more likely to remember that image. The best thing about this technique is that it doesn't take very long at all. Personally, it takes me a little bit longer than 10 or 20 seconds to think of an image, but not much more than that.

I remember when I was at school, we were introduced to this memory trick by a consultant that the school had hired. I was absolutely amazed at what he was able to do. Each of the students in our class said their name, one at a time, until we had gone around the whole class. When we had finished, this guy recalled every single student's name perfectly! It was amazing.

The other great thing about this technique is that absolutely anyone can do it. Your mind holds onto these visual images (the funnier the better) and you can easily recall them later on. Try it yourself! You'll be amazed at how well it works, and how much quicker you are able to learn and memorize German vocabulary.

Causal Continuance and the Development of the Neurophysiology

The contents of awareness are dependent on active neurological combination that associates their emergence. The constant content generative cycle, combined with causal continuance, produces different experiences and thoughts to the present. For this reason, the representational reality is transient in content. Its qualities constitutes from the knowledge that is actively present in your own awareness. For you, it cannot be anything else than what you actively experience it to be in the present.

The transient content of the exceeding forms of the reality is an inescapable reality of your subjective experience. And because your brains undergo an endless content generative cycle, you cannot meet exactly the same experience again. Instead, the content of your experience alters constantly. The causal history that is produced by the exceeding causal continuance creates different circumstances constantly. The contents in your short-term memory alter. The present ascends constantly to be a part of the past of your memories. Whether you are aware of it or not, a new kind of self emerges constantly. Your responses to constantly varying sums of the present circumstances produce the emergence of different kind of you from the neurological potentials. A joke is not so funny after you have heard it the thousandth time. In the level of knowledge, you are aware of different content than you were moments ago. Even if you were performing a mantra, the contents of the mantra will alter even if the words you are repeating remain as the same. And as the known changes, the reality as you experience it changes.

So, why is causal continuance an important factor in psychology? The causal continuance is based on causal events, which sum produces in effect the present. In psychology, these causal events are neurological. As the causal continuance of neural activity lasts for a lifetime, the chain of events produces a neurological continuum. This continuum exceeds forwards in time through the chain of events in neurological level. They are infinitely complex, varying in factors that include the time period that defines the circumstances and cultural differences, the circumstances the individual goes through his or her lifetime, knowledge the individual becomes increasingly aware of, and so on.

By factoring the causal continuance to the neurological development, we are able to create predictions of the trajectories the individual can go through. Psychotropic medicine, for instance, is expected to alter the neural pathways in long-term to cure depression. In effect, the neurological causal continuance will have the psychotropic substance that will eventually create dominant neural pathways as a result of long-term habitualization. In effect, psychotropic drug use, such as cannabis, amphetamine, ecstasy, heroin or caffeine will have similar habitualizing effects. Hence the continuation of psychedelic reality even after the use of psychoactive drugs has been ended. The withdrawal is not symptomatic only to the lack of induced psychotropic neurotransmitters, but also to the rehabilitation of the dominant neural pathways. By factoring the causal continuance into psychotherapy, we can adjust the creation of sub-modular brain areas and thus influence that how the brains interpret the reality. The applications are as endless the neurological potentials of the brains are. By factoring the causal continuance, the neuroplasticity of the brains can be used to enhance human development.

Is It Good For English Students to Speak With People Whose Mother Tongue Is English?

It's a great idea for English students to speak with people whose Mother Tongue is English. There are actually several reasons that practicing with a native English speaker will help you improve your English skills. For those who are in the process of learning English as a second language, practicing with a native speaker can be crucial to learning the nuances of English because there are a variety of exceptions that don't seem to follow the basic rules in addition to slang and other evolving terms and phrases.

Practicing your English skills with a native speaker can help you can speed and confidence in your language presentation. You shouldn't be too discouraged if you have to ask people to repeat themselves slowly or explain more about what they mean when they say certain words. It can help when the native speaker writes the word or phrase down on paper and you can also discuss exceptions and other ways the word or phrase can be use. You can practice English in a formal, business-like or informal and fun setting. Both settings are good for you to be more comfortable in listening and conversing in English.

When you begin to practice speaking English with a native speaker, you will start to notice various gestures and body language that might accompany people's use of certain words or phrases. These gestures and body language will help you figure out the use of a word or phrase that has multiple meanings. For example, if someone says that something smells bad and that person wrinkles his or her nose, there is probably something that actually smells bad to that person nearby. If that person says something smells bad and smiles and nods positively, that could actually mean approval of a nearby smell. In English, the word bad can be used as a negative adjective or as a slang positive.

You will know you are getting very good at English when you are able to argue or have a spirited discussion with a native English speaker and hold your own. Because arguments tend to happen so quickly and people sometimes find the need to interrupt and speak over each other, a good command of English demonstrate itself if you can come up with the accurate words you need quickly. Sometimes in business, people negotiate and those conversations can seem like arguments. Sometimes they are arguments, but they are mostly very strategic conversations where people or businesses try to get what they want.

Learn to Be Fluent in French by Learning How to Speak French

The Language of Love is French and when people want to learn how to speak French this is one of the reasons that is given. French is part of a group of languages that originated with Latin. The "Indio-European" language group includes more than 100 languages including the Romance Languages. The Romance Languages were actually derived from Vulgar Latin including French. 90 million people speak French as their native language and there are millions more who would love to learn to speak French.

If you study in a country that speaks French fluently and it is the primary language you will become fluent much faster. People who immerse themselves in a francophone country will be forced to learn the language much more quickly and it will be easier. This will help you to hear, firsthand the correct rhythms of the language and observe the culture at a more personal level.

Francophone countries include: Belgium France Canada particularly in Quebec If you have the time and resources there are other countries with huge French speaking populations, would be French Polynesia and Switzerland. For less expensive trips to countries that speak French, one can opt to book a flight to West African countries such as:

  • Benin
  • Burkina Faso
  • Ivory Coast
  • Mali
  • Senegal
  • Togo
If traveling the world to learn how to speak French does not fit into your budget there are other options. Enrolling in classes is a great way to learn how to speak French and become fluent. This can be extremely effective if the teacher is a native French speaker. Check out your instructor, make sure they are highly credible and can speak the language with flair since French accents and pronunciations are quite distinct.

It can be very beneficial to use courses or schools that are accredited or affiliated with French programs. If you practice learning how to speak French you must use French everyday, speak French at least 15 minutes a day.

Having good listening skills goes a long way since studies show that it takes several months before the brain can completely adjust to new sounds. Watching television and listening to French radio can be very helpful by helping your brain adjust at a faster rate and this will help you with your pronunciation skills. You should begin by pronouncing words until it feels natural when speaking in French.

Next would be to surround one's self with groups or friends who can speak the language at a more advance level. This form of practice will help you and you can stay in your comfort zone and avoid intimidation. Try to avoid speaking in your native tongue. If you speak French daily it soon becomes second nature. Psychokinesis and Other Teen Paranormal Activity

As person who teaches about psychic abilities development, I'm often approaches by teenagers and their parents from all around the world. Often, teenagers are sources of many paranormal activities that can be considered psychic. This article is meant to explain some of these weird activities.

Poltergeist Phenomena

One of the most popular supernatural happenings that are related to teenage psychic powers is poltergeist phenomena. The word "poltergeist" originates from German, from two words to be more specific: polter which means "noisy" and "geist" which means ghost. The name is perfect, as poltergeist is a noise ghost indeed. There are at least two theories for this phenomena. One, that it's a disembodied entity using human agent to cause movement of objects, noises and this kind of things; and second that there's no entity at all, and everything is caused by the human agent alone.

In both cases, the poltergeist is caused by emotional and psychological problems. And teenagers have a lot of these. Spontaneous psychokinesis as scientists use to call it. If there's ghost activity in your house, and you have teenage kids at the same time, this might be it. How to deal with this "problem"? The best thing to do is to visit psychologist and deal with the source - emotional or psychological troubles.

This should end the poltergeist activity once and for all.

Other Teen Paranormal Activity

Kids and teenagers are naturally psychic - at least most of them. Psychokinesis is just one thing. They can see ghost and spirits, they might experience empathy - sensing emotions of others like their own emotions. They might know things before they happen, they might experience precognitive dreams, perceiving the possible future events.

Experiencing these things is not dangerous for physical health, but emotionally, the teenager might find it difficult to dealt with, especially when he or she have other, more "normal" problems on daily basis.

This generates many problems. Psychic abilities that are naturally developed will not disappear easily. The teenager might need to learn control, read something about psychic development in order to find means - either to shut the abilities for good, or achieve control over them and develop them further. Both methods are good.

The best way to help the teenager that experience a lot of paranormal and psychic stuff is to show his or her your understanding. And recommend some reading, get some books, find a psychic to talk with. Things often need to be understood before they can be dealt with.

I hope that helps.

If you seek advices or help regarding psychic abilities, I recommend my psychic development blog.

Market Researchers Know The Ins And Outs Of Business

A sales team has to do an incredible amount of work before they unleash a new product on the consumer market. They'll want to make sure the product will have a function or design that's attractive overall. They'll also need to target what part of the market will buy it and what's the best way to reach it. This involves a very special team of experts called market research analysts.

Market research analysts are a little different from those in the sales force. They are hired to constantly monitor public opinion and figure out how their client or employer's product, service or concept fits in with the public. They then work to make sure whatever is being sold meets a potential customer's needs or simple desires.

Where most marketing personnel are much more generalized, research analysts are more focused in mass psychology and mathematics. While their on-campus or, increasingly, their online college course load starts similarly to others in their specialty, by the time they are in their junior year they are concentrating more on such courses as human behavior, advanced statistics and computer techniques.

Also, more often than not, a research analyst's academic career doesn't end with the Bachelor of Science degree. While they can find assistant's jobs with a four year degree, they truly need a Master's education to move onto more senior level positions. They also usually attend a number of seminar and late-night online classes to stay on top of the latest trends, techniques and breakthroughs in their field.

The good news is that once the student has graduated there is a wide array of companies and non-profit organizations that will employ them. A market research analyst usually starts out by surveying the public for opinions on various products, services and concepts or crunching the numbers to derive the results. From there, they can move on to actually designing and supervising studies before advancing to management, setting up their own firms or moving on to academia.

While finding that first position may take some effort, once inside the field the rewards can be considerable. At present, there are slightly over a quarter million (273,000) research analysts in the U.S. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates there will be a need for an additional 28-30% by 2020, making it one of the fastest growing professions in the country.

Salary is dependent on the industry one ends up working in, as well as what kind of research the analyst ends up doing. Entry level jobs usually start around $33,000, while over time the average wage can range anywhere from around $45,000 to as much as $85,000. The job also generally comes with full benefits, including health and life insurance, expense account and continuing education refunds.

When you crunch all the numbers, while becoming an analyst takes some time and effort, it also comes with enough perks to make it all worth while. If you are a person who is fascinated by consumer behavior and its ramifications, market research certainly is a profession well worth considering for a career.

It's a very computer-intensive field, however, those who earn their bachelor business degree online will find it practically second nature. For those who are just beginning, wondering if learning over the Internet is for them, the free courses online are a great way to realize just how convenient and flexible online education can be.

Love and Heart Symbolism - Why the Heart Is Used to Represent Love

There are many things where images stand for something or symbolize something else. The color white stands for purity, the image of a cross means the suffering of Jesus for Catholics, the image of a dove symbolizes peace, and the heart means love. The way people associate these images with other things is brought about by culture, tradition, and belief. In many ways, these symbolisms are important in reminding us of what they represent, and they are important as well because something that is as small as a drawing can come to mean so many different things.

When it comes to love, there are many other symbols that are associated with it such as flowers, rings, and for some even chocolates. But the heart is the most well known symbol for love. Of so many things that can be associated with love, why is it that heart is being used as the sign of love?

Physiologically, a person's heart gives him his life. Without the heart or when the heart stops beating, a person is medically considered to be dead. As with love, most people consider love to give them life. Without love, people will feel that they are dead because of the emptiness. When a healthy person has a healthy heart, he feels full of life and can do so many things. This can be said for love as well. Love can make a person feel full of life and can accomplish so many things because of the inspiration that love brings. The color red has also been associated with love. In a person's body, the blood that the heart pumps out and causes you to be alive is of color red too.

When a person feels bad about his love or experiences troubles in life, he can feel as though the heart itself is physically aching as well. People hold and touch on their chest to calm them down and the sadness they feel as if they cannot breathe anymore. This physical condition can be easily related to the heart as well as too much fatigue and can cause your heart to ache.

On a positive side, the sight of the person you love can make you physically feel as if your heart is indeed beating faster. Because of the emotions that you feel and the signals you send to your brain, your heart races fast. Thus, love can be felt again in the same body organ, the heart.

The heart is physically and physiologically at the center of human life. As with love, people consider love to be the most vital of all emotions and the foundation of the lasting and meaningful relationships, putting it in the center of their lives.

Love is indeed similar to many things that the heart does and represents. Drawing hearts on greeting cards or placing heart designs in gifts and photos will instantly show that this is the person you love. People do not use this symbol for anything else except for showing their love to their special someone.

Learning a Language: How to Overcome a Lack of Available Learning Time

Work. Friends. Children. Household. Sleep. Relaxation time. Most of us have quite enough activities to fill our schedule. No wonder that "no time" is a major reason for not starting to learn a new language.

This article offers three pointers that can help you free up time for learning a language.

Pointer #1 Time is priority

A day only has 24 hours, of which we'll spend about 7 hours sleeping. So our time is limited, and I would argue that it needs to be budgeted just like money. It is impossible to do everything, but we can choose what interest we want to pursue and free up time for them.

Keep a log for a few days and see what you are doing each of your waking hours on the day. Most of us will be committed to work for most of the day, but how much time are you spending watching TV or checking Facebook? What are you doing on the way to work, or on the way home? Is there anywhere you can save time, e.g. by not working as late or by hiring someone to clean your house and iron your clothes, rather than doing it yourself?

Saying "no" to your boss can be a huge time saver. Recently a friend conceded that her boss often calls her during weekends. She used to pick up, with the result that even on weekends, she is often working on "urgent" assignments. Recently she has resorted to not taking his calls during weekends, thus freeing up loads of time. Obviously, this is as much a career choice as it is a lifestyle choice.

Everyone's situation is different, so if you look critically at the time you spend, you may come to the conclusion that you want to keep everything as it is and between all the things you are doing, there is no time available to learn a new language. If that is the case, be honest to yourself and do not try to squeeze your language study in somewhere. It will leave you stressed and you probably will not be able to keep it up anyway. A few years down the road, your situation may be different, and then you may even be able to spend a few months learning full-time.

Pointer #2 Commitment and rhythm

If you do find time to learn a language, make a commitment to learning. Whether you are joining a class, have your own private teacher, or are learning all by yourself, try to commit to a schedule. Progress in languages comes only if learning is a long term commitment. I would say 2 hours, twice weekly is the minimum to see yourself progressing enough to keep your motivation up, although this varies from person to person.

If you cannot commit to any type of regular learning, forget about learning the language for a while. You'll just get frustrated if you try to learn every "now and then".

Pointer #3 Flexible methods

If your schedule is irregular, you still have a number of options. You can listen to podcasts on the bus, train, taxi or in your car.

Some people, myself included, really need a teacher to progress. The most flexible way of engaging a teacher is through one-to-one language lessons. You can still appoint a regular schedule with your teacher, but if you should miss one lesson, at least you will not be coming back to a class that has gone further. So you can continue where you left your learning last time without the stress of needing to catch up.

Conclusion

While most of us have busy schedules, I hope this article has encouraged you to make time to learn the language you always wanted to learn. Choose to commit to learning and find out a schedule that works for you, and you can really make progress!

Biomarker Research Advancing, But More Needs to Be Done

Anyone who reads the news and takes an interest in developments in the medical world can't help but have seen the growth in coverage of biomarkers. They are being used in various areas of medical research by organisations all over the globe, and their use is having positive effects on research efforts. But while growth in terms of knowledge of biomarkers and what they can achieve is certainly taking place, more data is needed to really push this area of medical research forward.

By integrating biomarkers into the drug development process more widely, fresh data can be gathered and the impact of biomarkers will be more profound. Fortunately there are a significant number of individuals and companies that believe in the potential of biomarkers and are fully committed to using them as an integral part of the research process. And while good progress is undoubtedly being made, more companies need to start integrating biomarkers into their own research efforts in order for them to achieve regulatory status. This in turn will mean that biomarkers can be used as part of the decision making process during clinical trials, and the importance of this cannot be stressed highly enough.

It is positive news then that biomarkers are being used widely, both by small laboratories and by multi-national companies with incredible budgets. The wider integration of biomarkers is the key as this will in turn provide more data and increase knowledge and understanding. Experts around the world have got behind biomarkers and stood up to express their belief in them. This is vital if biomarkers are to be pushed forward and reach their true potential, helping to make life easier for patients suffering from diseases, and helping to identify diseases before they take hold.

Of course for companies, the use of biomarkers makes financial sense as they are able to use them to reduce attrition rates during the final stages of the research process. Being able to remove unsuitable substances from a process can save a considerable amount of time and money and this is critical for a firm in the pharmaceutical industry where competition is extreme and the benefits of discovering a new drug can be astronomical.

Biomarkers are critical to the future of medical research and undertaking further work is the only way to build a larger biomarker database and help further knowledge and understanding across the world of medicine.

German Language for Beginners: The 4 Language Skills and How to Master Them Easily

There are four language skills that you need to work on whenever you learn a foreign language. These are reading, writing, listening and speaking. Two of these (reading and listening) are known as 'receptive' skills, as they require the receiving and interpreting information. The other two skills (writing and speaking) are known as 'productive' skills, since they require you to produce the language yourself.

As an example, imagine you are using a textbook and there is a short passage you need to read and translate to English. This is a test of your reading skills. Now imagine that the book gives you a short passage in English, and asks you to translate in to German. This is a test of your writing skills, which requires you to think of the correct words and grammar to produce it in a written form. Naturally, the receptive skills of reading and listening are easier, since you are given the words and only need to translate them. Often you can correctly guess the meaning even if you only understand a few of the words. In contrast, the productive skills of speaking and writing are more difficult since you need to correctly remember all the words and grammar forms so that the listener or reader will be able to understand you.

It is very important when learning a language to make sure that you give equal attention to each of the four skills. Many students make the mistake of focussing only on the skills of the type of study materials they first purchase. If this is a textbook, then they will be working only on reading and writing. If it is an audio course, then speaking and listening are obviously the focus. You need to cover all four skills. Here are some ways you can do that and become highly skilled in all areas of the German language...

Reading and Writing

  • Purchase a good German textbook with exercises as a great starting point for learning to read and write.
  • Practise reading with German websites such as news or sports.
  • Sign up for a daily German email, such as a horoscope, for a nice short reading practice that you can easily fit into your daily routine.
  • Practise reading with German cartoons and books. (Start with children's books and work up to easy novels.)
  • Practise writing by creating your own exercises... Think of words and phrases you spoke about today (or topics that you would like to talk about), then translate these to German. This is a great way to tailor your study to your particular areas of interest.
  • Practise reading and writing at an online language community, which is a great place to find German penpals.

Listening and Speaking

  • Purchase a good German audio course for listening and speaking practice.
  • Practise listening to native speakers by watching German movies, cartoons and television shows.
  • Set up a language swap with a German speaker (either in person or using an online language community).
  • Get yourself a private tutor for intense practise listening and speaking with a native German.

These are just a few of the better ways that you can use your study time to cover all four of the language skills. Get creative and look for other fun ways to practise these skills and you'll soon find yourself becoming very proficient in the German language. Good luck, and have fun learning German!

Colours and Symbols of the Hierophant Card in the Rider Waite Smith Deck of Tarot Cards

The Hierophant Card in the Rider Waite Smith deck of Tarot Cards is rich in colour and symbolism.

They are important because they can add extra depth and meaning to your readings.

Colours of the Hierophant Card

The Hierophant card is mostly red indicating power and authority. The front of the gown is white, which adds a more spiritual, counselling, advisory type of role to the card.

The pillars are grey and made of stone. Traditionally grey is a colour of wisdom, although in the Hierophant Card, the wisdom is only obtained by following the teachings of the guru figure.

Symbols of the Hierophant Card

The Two pillars indicate balance and looking at both sides of something.

Unlike the High Priestess card which has a thin veil between the conscious and the unconscious, there is no veil in the Hierophant and so the unconscious remains closed off.

The figure almost seems to be blocking the way to the information on the other side of the pillars. That seems to only be accessible to a few and the promised enlightenment only comes by following a path of learning, education and knowledge.

The gold crown is a triple papal crown. Gold points towards purity, perfection and highest attainment of inner and outer states.

The toothed prongs at the top represent the rays of the sun's light and are designed to connect the highest spiritual teachings to the people on the earth.

The Sceptre is the triple-tiered papal cross. The crown and the sceptre represent the 3 tiers of humans which are earth and body, mind, spirit and consciousness.

The Hierophant raises his right hand in what is known esoterically as the Blessing, with two fingers pointing skyward and two pointing down, thus forming a bridge between heaven and earth.

The Crossed keys are both gold. In some decks one is silver and one is gold, which represents the inner and outer knowledge.

As both keys are gold, this indicates that the inner aspects may be hidden from those who follow the outer path of doctrine. The crossed keys are the access to the hidden, inner - or secret- knowledge.

The Roses and Lilies on the clothes of the figures symbolise the two paths to learning and understanding, These are the path of the heart, love, compassion and emotions, as represented by the roses or the path of the intellect and logic as symbolised by the lilies.

The Rose can also be a symbol of pain and suffering because of its thorns. The symbol of the Rose is the symbol of the sun, which is drawn as a circle with a dot in the middle. If you look closely you can just about see that on the right hand side of the throne.

The Lily is a symbol of purity, innocence. The shape of lily could be seen as phallic and as such represent a masculine symbol. For Christians the Lily can be a symbol of repentance. In alchemy it is a symbol of purity and chastity.

The symbol of the Lily is the Moon. If you look very closely, you can see the symbol for the Moon on top of the Sun on the left hand side of the throne.

The sign of the Moon on top of the sign is the astrological symbol of Taurus.

No detail, however small, is in this card by accident. Everything is relevant.

This is especially important if your eye suddenly falls on a detail in the card that you maybe have not noticed before or jumps out at you. That detail may have an important message for you.

Selling Your Used College Books at Online Auction Websites

Upon completion of your college courses, you may sell your used college textbooks over the internet and recover your initial book expenses which money could go into buying books for your next course. Because college textbooks tend to be expensive, it can prove frustrating when you have to spend a lot of money to buy textbooks. What's worse is that when you try to sell your books to college bookstores, you will normally receive a rather low buyback rate. The good news is that you can still find a good price online for your college textbooks.

Your first stop for selling your used books is at eBay, the most popular online auction website. At eBay, you get to put up your used book for sale and have bidders place bids up until the deadline of the auction at which the highest bidder gets to buy it. You may get paid through PayPal and this sale will cost you very minimally on eBay unless of course you decide to utilize their other bidding tools. An ideal time to have your eBay auction is just before college students go back for their next semester as this is when most begin searching for college books online.

You may also sell your used college textbooks online at Amazon, another popular online auction site. Here you may put up your used college textbooks for sale, which will be listed alongside the new editions of the same book. It is therefore advisable to set the price of your used book at one lower than that of the new textbook in order to increase your chances of making a sale and recovering your expenses. Be sure to factor in commission that Amazon will take for making your sale.

Craigslist is another great option for selling your books online although it also happens to be the most insecure medium available. This is because unlike Amazon and eBay, buyers and sellers on Craigslist do not enjoy the same kind of protection offered by features such as escrow and process terms of service. On the other hand, Craigslist just happens to be more affordable than the other two sites which is great for students who don't have the money to list their used textbooks online in the first place. At Craigslist, potential buyers get to contact you directly and you have the responsibility of delivering the books to the buyers and collecting payment from them.

How To Stay Motivated Learning Spanish With Spanish Language Meetups

If you want to master Spanish and you struggle to keep yourself motivated, one tip that I can give you on how to stay motivated learning Spanish is to consider joining one of the many Spanish Language Meetups. A Meetup group is a group that shares a common interest and meets regularly face-to-face. There are literally thousands of local Meetup Groups covering thousands and thousands of interests.

The Spanish Language Meet Up group has over 14,000 members in 103 Groups from 92 cities, and in more countries than I care to count. Before moving to Colombia, I used to be the group leader in my area (Westchester County, New York). We had 96 members in our group.

Once a month we would meet for dinner in an Italian restaurant and speak Spanish. We actually had a meeting of 2-groups-in-1. That's because the Westchester Language Club also met with the Westchester Spanish Language MeetUp group for the monthly meeting/dinner.

By the way, if there isn't a Spanish Language Meet Up group in your city, you can start your own.

Meet Up will provide you with the tools to start your own Spanish Language Meet-Up group.

If you are interested, they also have Meet-Up groups for other languages and even Salsa dancing.

You can find more info about Meet Up at:

http://www.meetup.com/

Besides joining a Meet Up group to keep yourself motivated, you can also try to find a partner on the Net through an online foreign language exchange program. This is another great way to make friends with native Spanish speakers. In exchange for helping them learn English, they will help you speak Spanish.

Easy Languages to Learn: Do Not Choose to Learn a Language Because It Is Supposedly Easy

Ease of learning is probably the worst reason to learn a particular language. Here are three reasons why.

1. If ease of learning is your only reason to learn a particular language, you probably lack the right motivation

To keep up your motivation for learning a language, you need to have a more compelling reason than simply because it is not taking you too much effort. Many people learn a language out of pure interest, or because it is a necessity to survive.

These are two compelling reasons to keep the learning process going. Even if you feel the grammar of the language you are learning is relatively straightforward, you are still going to have to learn an entirely new vocabulary.

2. No language is easy to learn

Despite what you may see in advertisements for many language learning methods and classes, there is no silver bullet to learn any language without effort. Sure, there are effective teaching methods that can help you to progress faster, but no one can really master a language without investing time and conscious effort.

Even among languages that are closely related, such as German and Dutch for example, you will still need to put in considerable effort. Sometimes ways of saying things appear to be the same across two similar languages, while in actual fact there is a slight-but-very-important-difference.

3. You will not know how "easy" it is to learn the language before you try

How do you know whether a language is easy to learn, before you start learning it? The only thing you can do is ask other peoples' opinions. But if you ask 5 different people, you'll get 5 different perspectives. Some people will feel any language is "easy" to learn simply because they have an aptitude for learning languages in general. Others may tell you a language is difficult, but it could be because their mother tongue differs from yours or they may have a lesser talent for learning languages than you have.

Conclusion

If you are thinking of learning a new language, choose your language based on your interest, the usefulness of the language to you or its necessity for your work or private life. Do not fall into the trap of choosing to learn a certain language because it's easy, or being discouraged from learning a certain language because it has a reputation for being difficult.

Want to Find a Good Psychic Medium Online? Hint - It's A LOT Easier Than You Think!

It's really not that hard. Want to know what I've learned after 20 years of researching, writing about and SEEING psychics myself, both personally and professionally alike?

That even though the vast majority of psychic mediums are NOT nearly as good as advertised... and even though there ARE some charlatans, cheats and scam artists in the bunch, for the MOST part, professional mediums are the most compassionate, empathetic and caring folks you will ever meet.

Even some of the readings I haven't' felt were very accurate, I've been struck by how sensitive the medium has been to my need to re-connect, my feelings and ultimately, my loss. (even though, for the most part, I've been fortunate to have NOT lost someone very close to me unexpectedly, rather family members who have passed due to natural causes, expectedly...with age)

That said, there ARE some simple rules I recommend you follow if you're looking for a good medium, and are using the internet to find a good one by phone.

Stay away from FORUMS and individuals who advertise, or promote themselves on these style sites, without moderation. (in other words, potentially anonymous individuals NOT affiliated with a larger network who are NOT "vouched for" by people you know and trust)

Try finding an online "medium" meet up, or a local group that has medium style readings you can attend. These can be cheap... and a good way to make personal connections with local clairvoyants, mediums and intuitives in your area. (if you're in a larger city, this is often easier)

Call psychic services that have been around for a long while. Consistency is CRITICAL when judging the accuracy and honesty of a psychic network, and the longer they've been around, the more likely it is that you are going to be impressed with the reading.

NOTE: There are several very well respected psychic services that offer genuine readings at deeply discounted prices, and that offer 100% money back guarantee's. This is a very safe way of trying or testing a medium for 10 or 20 dollars WITHOUT any risk at all, as if the reading is NOT accurate, or the intuitive simply has an "off" day, you can get a full refund. (or a reading with a separate psychic)

The bottom line is, in my personal experience, finding a good medium ONLINE is actually much easier than finding one OFFLINE. (it's actually a lot cheaper, too) You have the benefit of reading the previous experience of lots of other clients and callers... and you should know exactly what to expect going in!

Who are theBEST Online Psychic Networks for AFFORDABLE (but AMAZING!) Readings That WILL Blow Your Mind?

The Hierophant Upright and Reversed in The Rider Waite Smith Deck of Tarot Cards

In the Hierophant Card in the Major Arcana of the Rider Waite Smith deck of Tarot cards you can see a Religious looking figure, often called the Pope, sitting on a grey stone throne between two stone pillars. He is dressed in rich red robes and wears a three tiered papal crown and carries a papal sceptre.

The Hierophant raises his right hand in what is known esoterically as the Blessing, with two fingers pointing skyward and two pointing down, thus forming a bridge between heaven and earth.

Meaning of the Hierophant Upright

The Hierophant represents the ruling power of orthodox and external religion, established education, traditions and belief systems, dogma, doctrines and recognised hierarchy within any structure or organisation.

This is the organised, structured and ritualistic approach to spiritual growth, usually through some sort of group identification.

In the Hierophant, we see a large figure presiding over two smaller ones.

The idea is that the larger figure is attempting to mediate between two aspects of life, such as between the intellect and emotions, and to hold them in balance without necessarily resolving the potential conflict between them.

It is likely that the person represented by the Hierophant has a preference for the orthodox and conventional, probably has a need to conform, to fit in with established and structured groups and to be socially acceptable.

They probably accept discipline, have an inner sense of obedience and are happy to honour ritual, ceremony and traditional ways of doing things.

The Hierophant is also your inner counsellor and represents facing your own psyche, making your own decisions and living by them as well as developing the inner qualities of balance alongside the outer power.

It is also dealing with your own beliefs, whether religious or spiritual and whether you are being true to yourself or you are blindly following the dogma of others.

As a person, the Hierophant will often have the role of a trusted advisor, counsellor, teacher or someone who is an expert in their field, who can give you guidance.

It may sometimes be useful to seek guidance from someone else, who is a guru or an expert, however you need to be able to take what they say and follow your own beliefs and your own path.

The Hierophant may be indicating that the conventional beliefs of others are blocking the expression of your independent free spirit.

It is important that the power given to a Hierophant figure is not then used for personal gains instead of enlightenment.

In its highest form, The Hierophant is a seeker of knowledge and education and is a great believer that knowledge leads to power, both inner and outer and as such is able to guide others to help them to find their own answers, wisdom and truth without preaching or being judgmental.

Meaning of The Hierophant Reversed

In the Reversed position the Hierophant can point towards slander, poor advice, misrepresentation, unconventionality, maybe a distortion of the truth or high-handed judgemental advice and ego.

It maybe that structured learning not working at the moment or this is not the right time to take it up.

Someone may be experiencing a clash of values between the traditional beliefs systems of their upbringing, education or religion and their personal belief systems.

There may be a resulting lack of conformity and a rejection of all or part of those traditions.

When someone no longer identifies with a group, and is forming their own ideas and beliefs, this can be quite a challenging time for them, as they can be made to feel as an outcast and considerable pressure can be placed on them to conform.

Biomarkers Helping Pharmaceutical Companies Push Ahead

The use of biomarkers in the world of medical research is becoming more and more widespread and it is not hard to understand why. In the research stage for a new drug for example, biomarkers are used to help identify which substances will end up being unsuitable for use so they can then be discarded and efforts can be focused on other areas of research.

This might sound simple and straightforward, but it can have a major impact on the research process and can lead to considerable savings for the companies behind the research. The success of a project can hinge on breakthroughs being made in good time and when you are talking about medical research, this is much easier said than done. It is for this reason that biomarkers are having such a profound effect. They allow companies to find out as soon as possible if a potential drug will be unsuitable for the purpose it is being designed. This means that work on that particular drug can be halted, saving money and time that would otherwise have been wasted. Instead, that effort can be ploughed into separate research.

For large multinational companies, getting results and making breakthroughs is vitally important, as millions upon millions of dollars are at stake. However, it is arguably just if not more important for the smaller laboratories to make progress. They will often be relying on small amounts of funding and if research is not producing results then there is a good chance that their source of funding can dry up. Some of the smallest firms are involved in some of the most important research efforts and so the use of biomarkers can really be the difference between success and failure. And if results are being produced, then a financial backer is far more likely to open up new sources of funding that can allow the lab to increase research efforts.

One thing is for sure and that is that biomarkers are having a profound effect on the world of medical research and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Biomarkers are being used increasingly by companies to stay ahead of the competition, and as a result, their use is furthering knowledge.

Cancer biomarkers and other biomarkers for example are playing a key part in research into helping to identify signs of diseases like prostate cancer at the earliest possible stage.

English Composition Class Perfects The Skills You Already Possess

Part of any college program are the general education classes. Students are required to complete these classes before moving onto more specialized courses in their major. Usually, general education classes focus on the foundations of learning - topics such as the sciences, mathematics and reading and writing.

Almost always, colleges require that students complete a course called English Composition. This course usually counts for several credits and focuses primarily on both reading and writing skills. Students across the nation have the opportunity to complete this course as part of their college degree.

Despite the popularity of the English Composition courses in college curriculum, many students find themselves worrying and stressed about completing the class. It seems to be a common theme that students have no interest or desire in composition. In fact, most students would probably rather skip the class entirely than have to have anything to do with it.

Many students feel this way because the idea of reading and writing for an entire semester sounds overwhelming. However, an English Comp class doesn't have to be that intimidating! Believe it or not, you do an amazing amount of reading and writing in your day-to-day life already.

Many students feel unprepared for the class because they don't dedicate a lot of time in their daily lives to reading regularly. Studies have found that any reading at all actually improves your comprehension skills and your actual reading ability. This means that the time you spend flipping through magazines or reading online is actually helping prepare you for English Composition class.

You may not be penning missives on a daily basis either, but you're probably doing a fair amount of writing. Even the text messages you send and the posts you make on Facebook count as a form of writing. Next time you sit down to type or tap out a paragraph, double check it and try to use correct spelling and punctuation - the practice will be helpful as soon as you're enrolled in class!

Finishing a composition class will assist you not only in your personal life, but also your academic life and your future career. You'll find you will have an easier time communicating clearly. The skills you hone in your English Comp class will definitely assist you throughout the rest of your academic career, too, as you'll undoubtedly spend lots of time composing essays and writing for projects and assignments.

An English Composition class is nothing to be afraid of, especially since it's essentially a requirement for college graduation across the nation. Simply look at your daily interactions as practice for the class and soon you'll be ready to take it as a traditional or online college course. Every interaction you have via text is a chance to practice and look forward to your experience in the class. Realizing the benefit you'll receive from the class will help make the course easier for you to pass, as well!

Don't Miss Out - An Online Counseling Degree Is Your Fastest Way To An Exciting New Career

Thanks to the online counseling degree, there never has been an easier way to begin the process of getting established in the world of counseling. For many people, having the ability to go through the process of obtaining this degree online helps them to get the edge they need and simplifies the entire process as well.

Certification Specifics

One of the most important things you pay close attention to when you are going through this process is that you take the time to ensure your college is accredited in the state you are looking to practice in. This is important as some licensing boards won't accept certain degrees and will prevent you from getting your certification. In addition to this, you will also find that if you plan on transferring to a different college down the road, this accreditation will be essential for you to take credits that you have already earned to the next school.

Along with this you will also need to verify the residency requirements for your area. Because many of these colleges have to obtain contracts in your state, it is possible that you end up having to do your requirements a few times a week 2 hours from where you live. Keep that in mind and be sure that you understand all the requirements to avoid any potential problems with your schedule. This will also allow you to plan for these trips if you need to as well.

Some of the online counseling degrees you find will allow you to study at your own pace, others will require you attend regular sessions. Because of this, you should be sure to take the time to understand which counseling subjects/options you are registering for.

Counseling Degree - On The Computer And Online

In addition to this, you will find that many of these colleges will be handled over the internet. This means you need to ensure you have a regular internet connection that you can connect to the school through. If you are using a local university or college's online computer classes, it is possible for you to use their computer lab to do these counseling courses. If you are working with an offsite location, you should be sure that you have constant and reliable internet access. In some cases, they will require broadband or DSL speed connections over basic dial-up.

One other consideration you will need to take is the fact that many of these courses will require you to do research and other items on your own. If you aren't a person that is self motivated or can handle this style of learning, then a traditional method of working through an online counseling degree might be better for you.

However, if you can handle the push and pull of online counseling degree courses, you will find it is a very rewarding process that will give you the tools you need to not only succeed in the world of counseling, but in your own personal day-to-day as well, as you learn self-discipline and responsibility in your own life. These are things you will be able to teach to others down the road.

Production Managers Are Made Not Born, Aided By Business Courses

In our very capitalistic society, we swim in a vast sea of gadgets, trinkets and actually useful products. Now here's something to think about: the manufacturing, marketing and distribution on each and every one of those products is supervised by one person, a product manager.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, these people plan the manufacturing of a product, including where the item will be created and how it will be sent around the country. This includes what kind of materials are used to make the item, as well as supervising a group of product designers who will ensure manufactured item is as easy as possible and still attractive to the consumer.

From there, they will utilize a small army of marketing personnel to determine an affordable yet profitable price point, make sure that demand outstrips supply any way possible, and anything else to engage regular profits for their employer. The will sit in on market research to determine their target market, supervise a communications team on deciding what media they will use to reach that market, and any kind of promotions that will entice not only the consumer, but retailers and distributors to stock that item.

As one can imagine, this is not a position for a kid straight out of college. Generally, a person interested in this profession will have spent several years in the work force, primarily in manufacturing, marketing and/or sales, or a similar position. They are not only comfortable being around the general public, but can also walk around a factory floor supervising those actually putting it all together.

Not that a higher education isn't required. Product managers can have a number of different possible degrees. They usually got their BS in anything from business administration to materials management to marketing and even engineering. Many do go on to get a masters degree, filling in skills they just couldn't cram into their four year degree. They often do this by working during the day time and then completing their post-grad program at night school or through an online college.

Currently, the United States employs slightly over 150,000 product managers. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the position should decline slightly over the next decade due to the nation's current predilection towards moving its factories overseas. To counter this, many product managers are also moving overseas, now forcing them to add language and cultural courses to their education process.

On the other hand, product managers do earn an income worthy of their senior positions. The average annual wage is $86,000 a year, and varies widely depending on the industry they are working in. Reflecting the current worldwide trends, a product manager in the information technology and healthcare industries tend to top the income level, at nearly $130,000 a year. The entire package also comes with a full benefits package, including profit sharing and other bonuses.

In all, while the current world market conditions bring its challenges, a product manager is still an exceptional occupation. Business courses will certainly play a role in moving up in a company. Even those who've been working for some time can find scholarships to help pay for their educational advancements.
